You belong: A note from Pastor Mel + Dolly Night details!
You belong, exactly as you are.
Dear Friends,
Just a little note in the middle of your week to remind you that you are thought about, cared about, and part of this community.Ā
Sometimes belonging looks holy and profound. Sometimes it looks like worship and prayer. And sometimes, apparently, it looks like rhinestones, karaoke, pizza, and somebody doing their very best Dolly Parton impression. š Get your ticket at https://bit.ly/DollyNightTixSHMCC.
Ā
Thatās part of why I love this community. We donāt have to be impressive to belong to one another. We donāt have to perform. We donāt have to have everything together. We get to show up as ourselves and make a little room for one another.
Ā
As you move through this week, pay attention to somebody who might need that kind of room. Send the text. Make the call. Sit beside somebody. Listen a little longer.
Ā
And remember that the same invitation extends to you.
Ā
You belong.
Love, Your Pastor,

Take a moment today to reach out to someone you havenāt heard from in a while. A simple hello can be a sanctuary.
P.S. Dolly Night is coming Friday, September 25, from 6ā9 PM. Tickets are free (https://bit.ly/DollyNightTixSHMCC), performers are welcome, and you absolutely do not have to perform to come have fun.
